National Capital Explorer School Excursion
This is a curriculum based tour taking in all that Canberra has to offer and more. Each itinerary is tailored to suit the needs of the touring school. This can include, but is not limited to, Parliament House, Australian War Memorial, National Electoral Education Centre, Museum of Australian Democracy at Old Parliament House, National Capital Exhibition Centre, High Court of Australia, Government House, National Museum of Australia, Questacon, Royal Australian Mint, National Gallery of Australia, National Portrait Gallery, Australian Institute of Sport, Geoscience Australia and many more venues to choose from in Canberra and the surrounding areas.
Depending on where the school is located, this tour can be offered with flights, coach or train travel to/from Canberra, with coach provided on arrival for local travel.
In Term 3 the itinerary can also include a day trip to the snow from Canberra for snow play, or can be extended to include a few days of skiing with accommodation in Jindabyne.
Itineraries can also be extended to include a day or two of sightseeing in Sydney, or other areas enroute to Canberra.
The Parliament and Civics Education Rebate (PACER) Program provides a travel subsidy for Years 4 - 12 students across Australia to visit Canberra to participate in Civics and Citizenship programs, with rebate rates based on distance travelled. NB schools must be 150 klm or more away from the Canberra GPO to be eligible.

Once you have decided on an itinerary you can sit back, relax and let EducaTours of Australia complete all of the educational tour arrangements for you.
As part of EducaTours of Australia's service a Tour Co-Ordinator will take care of all the hassles for you by placing bookings and making all of the tour arrangements both before and during the tour.
An On Tour Co-Ordinator will continue this service by remaining with the group throughout the tour to finalize arrangements and provide commentary during the tour.
Therefore, the only thing left for you to do is pack your bags!
All meals, accommodation, travel (coach and flights), activities and admissions are included as part of the tour cost as well as equipment hire, if applicable. Most special requirements can be catered for, if advised prior to the tour.
Accommodation is generally in multi-share rooms and all accommodation is of a high standard with private facilities and linen provided.
Coach travel is by modern, 5-star air conditioned coaches with seatbelts, ranging in size from 32 to 63 seats per vehicle. The option of flying to and from Canberra is also available. EducaTours of Australia also provides complimentary a Group Photograph, Warm Beanie (winter tours) and Sports Water Bottle to each passenger as a momento of their tour.
